SCENE 01 — WHY

Why coverage hits different for grip & electric.

POINT 01

On-set injury risk is real

Lifts, rigging, cable runs, hot lamps. Standard ACA plans cover treatment and surgery; we strongly recommend pairing an accident supplement that pays cash for ER, fractures, and PT.

POINT 02

Plans that respect overtime bodies

14-hour turnarounds add up. We filter for plans with strong PT, chiropractic, and orthopedic networks — and telehealth so you don't lose a day driving to an appointment.

POINT 03

Coverage when you bounce between productions

ACA marketplace coverage doesn't end when wrap day hits. Subsidies stay in place based on annual projected income — even with weeks of gap between bookings.

POINT 04

IATSE Local 728 / 80 — modeled against ACA

If you hit union qualifying hours, IATSE health is usually the right primary. We help you keep ACA in your pocket for the non-qualifying quarters.

SCENE 03 — STORIES

From the set, in their words.

"Tore my rotator cuff rigging a 4K. Accident supplemental paid out $4,800 in cash within two weeks. Wouldn't go without it now."

SCENE 05 — FAQ

Set FAQs.

SCENE 01
Does accident supplemental replace health insurance?
No — it pays on top of it. Think of it as a cash bonus when you visit the ER or fracture something on a rig. It doesn't satisfy the ACA requirement on its own.
SCENE 02
What if I get hurt on a non-union show?
Production should carry workers' comp, but coverage and willingness to pay vary. Personal health insurance plus accident supplemental gives you a backstop when the producer's comp claim drags out.
SCENE 03
I work weeks on, weeks off — does ACA make sense?
Yes. ACA coverage is continuous; it doesn't end with the production. Subsidies are based on annual projected income, so the gaps don't penalize you.
SCENE 04
Is chiropractic covered?
Most ACA-compliant plans cover medically necessary chiropractic. We can filter for plans with explicit chiro benefits and stronger networks for spine and joint care.
